Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using PromptCV.app (“PromptCV”, “the Service”) you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, and you confirm your acceptance when you sign in. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your country, if higher) to use the Service.

2. Your account

You sign in with a one-time email link or a connected Google or LinkedIn account — there is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email inbox and any connected accounts secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or impersonates a real person without their permission.
  • Use the Service to send spam or harvest data.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise abuse the Service or its rate limits.
  • Resell the Service or rebrand it as your own.

4. Credits, payments, and refunds

Creating and manually editing your documents is free. Two things cost credits:

  • Downloads. Downloading a finished PDF costs one download credit per document (CV or cover letter). Credits are bought in packs and do not expire. Re-downloading a version you have already unlocked is always free.
  • AI writing features. Features such as AI Tailor, Build-with-AI, cover-letter generation, and the ATS scan draw on a monthly free allowance of AI credits; once that allowance is used up, they use AI credits from a pack. AI credits are available both bundled with some download packs and as standalone packs.
  • CV Review Pro. A one-time purchase that unlocks the paid half of a CV Review — how to fix each problem, rewrites of your own bullets, a section-order plan, a match against a job circular you paste in, and one download credit. It covers one CV file; reviewing a different file is a separate purchase.

Some premium templates require a separate one-time unlock fee before you can download them; the price is shown before you pay, and after unlocking, downloads cost the usual one credit.

Payments are processed by your chosen mobile financial service — bKash, Nagad, or Rocket — through our payment gateway. Because credits, unlocks, downloads and reports are digital goods delivered instantly, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds for a change of mind. What you can check before paying differs by product, and we tell you which before you pay: for a download you can preview the full, exact PDF for free first; for a premium template the price is shown before you unlock it; for CV Review Pro your free Review Score, your issue count and every problem we found are all shown before you buy, the offer states how many of your bullets we will attempt to rewrite, we refuse the purchase outright when there are none to rewrite, and the report shows what was actually delivered. There are two exceptions. First, a technical error on our end — you were charged but the credits, unlock or report were not delivered, or a system fault caused a duplicate or incorrect charge. Second, a delivery failure of CV Review Pro: if any part of the Pro report fails to generate, tell us and we will re-run it or refund you — your choice. In either case email support@promptcv.app and we will make it right; where we refund, we reverse the corresponding credits, unlocks or report access.

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

AI features in the Service generate suggestions using third-party language models. The output may be inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and editing every AI suggestion before using it. We make no guarantees about job outcomes, interview rates, or factual accuracy.

6. Intellectual property

You own the CV and cover-letter content you create. By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store, render, and transmit your content to provide the Service to you — which includes sending text you submit to an AI feature to our AI provider to generate the output you requested (see the Privacy Policy). The Service itself (code, templates, designs) belongs to us.

7. Your content and takedown

You are responsible for the content you put into the Service and choose to publish. You agree not to hold us liable for, and to indemnify us against, claims arising from content you submit or share that breaks these Terms or the law. If you believe a public CV or cover letter infringes your rights or impersonates you, email support@promptcv.app and we will review it and, where appropriate, remove it.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms; we will give you reasonable notice unless the violation is severe or we are legally required to act immediately.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the total amount you have paid us for the Service.

10. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a successor if the Service changes hands. We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Service is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
