School and college hiring in Bangladesh leans formal: a photo, a Personal Details block and references are expected, and qualifications are checked carefully. This sample uses a traditional layout to match.
The difference between an average and a strong teacher CV is evidence. Anyone can write "experienced in classroom management"; a pass-rate change or a club you started shows it.
What recruiters check first
- Qualifications and registration. Subject degree, B.Ed or M.Ed, and NTRCA registration for non-government schools are checked first. List each with the institution and year.
- Subjects and classes you have taught. Be specific: which subject, which classes, which curriculum or medium. A school hiring for Class 9 to 10 English wants to see exactly that.
- Results and contributions. Board exam results in your sections, co-curricular activities you run, exam committee work. These show impact beyond the lesson.
- Referees who have seen you teach. A principal or head of department carries more weight than a family friend. Give their post, school and contact details.
Bullet points: weak vs strong
The same experience, written two ways. The strong version says what was done and what changed because of it. Only use numbers you can explain in an interview.
- Instead of: Taught English to secondary students.
Write: Teach 5 sections (about 220 students) of English First and Second Paper each year. - Instead of: Improved student results.
Write: Raised the English pass rate in my Class 10 sections from 86% to 97% across two SSC batches. - Instead of: Organised extracurricular activities.
Write: Designed a weekly speaking club that 45 students attend, now run by two other teachers.
Skills to include
List the skills the job circular asks for that you really have, in its own words, grouped so a recruiter can scan them in seconds:
- Teaching: Lesson planning, Classroom management, Activity-based learning, Assessment design
- Technology: MS Office, Google Classroom, Multimedia classrooms
- Languages: Bengali (native), English (fluent)
Format tips
- List NTRCA registration with its level and subject; it is often the first thing checked.
- Name the classes, subjects and curriculum you taught, not just "taught students".
- Include tutoring experience only if you are early in your career.
- Use a formal passport-size photo; schools generally expect one.
- Two pages is normal for teachers with several degrees and certificates.
