Bank recruiters in Bangladesh screen a large number of MTO applications against clear minimums, usually academic results, so this sample puts education near the top with every result on its proper scale: CGPA out of 4.00, SSC and HSC GPA out of 5.00.
Unlike a tech CV, a bank CV usually carries a Personal Details block (father's and mother's names, date of birth, addresses) and two references. Check each circular: some banks ask for these on their online form instead.
What recruiters check first
- Academic results that meet the cut-off. Many bank circulars set minimum results for SSC, HSC and the degree. Recruiters check these first, so make them easy to find and state the scale for each.
- Numeracy and attention to detail. A bank handles money and documents. Bullets that show you worked accurately with numbers (financial summaries, reconciliations, document checks) speak directly to this.
- Communication and presentability. Front-line and trainee roles face customers. Club leadership, presentations and customer-facing work are worth including, briefly.
- A clean, consistent record. No unexplained gaps, no inflated claims. Banks value reliability, and an honest, tidy CV reads as trustworthy.

The same experience, written two ways. The strong version says what was done and what changed because of it. Only use numbers you can explain in an interview.
- Instead of: Did internship in the credit department.

List the skills the job circular asks for that you really have, in its own words, grouped so a recruiter can scan them in seconds:

Format tips
- Put education right after your summary if you are a fresh graduate; move it below experience once you have 2+ years.
- Use a formal passport-size photo if the circular or the bank's culture expects one.
- Name your internship bank and division; banks know each other's programmes.
- Keep the CV to two pages. Include SSC and HSC; leave out JSC and PSC.
- Ask your referees before listing them, and give a phone number and email for each.
Frequently asked questions
- Should I include a photo on a bank job CV in Bangladesh?
- Most private and state-owned banks in Bangladesh expect a formal, passport-size photo. Use a recent, plain-background photo in formal clothes, and follow the circular if it says otherwise.
- Do I need to include my NID number?
- Only if the circular or the bank's application form asks for it. Many banks collect it on their online form. Date of birth and your parents' names are more commonly expected on the CV itself.
- My CGPA is below the cut-off. Should I still apply?
- If the circular states a hard minimum, applications below it are usually filtered out. If it does not, apply, and let a strong internship and relevant skills carry more of the CV.
- Is a career objective needed on a bank CV?
- A short summary helps if it is specific: the role you want and two real strengths. A generic "to build a career in a reputed organisation" line adds nothing and is better left out.
