About this sample
Freshers often think they have nothing to put on a CV. In fact, most have plenty: an internship, a thesis or course project, tutoring, club roles, volunteering. The work is in writing them as achievements rather than a list of activities.
This sample puts education near the top, because for a fresh graduate it is the strongest and most checked part of the CV, then uses the experience and project sections to prove skills employers ask for.
What recruiters check first
- Your degree and results. Recruiters check your degree, institution and CGPA first, then SSC and HSC. Give each with its scale so nobody has to guess.
- Evidence of skills they need. An internship bullet with a number, or a project with a real outcome, shows more than a list of adjectives. Pick the evidence that matches the role you are applying for.
- Initiative. Club roles, events you organised, tutoring you arranged yourself: these show you get things done without being told.
- Care and correctness. Spelling mistakes and messy formatting hurt a fresher more than anyone, because the CV is the only work sample the recruiter has.
Bullet points: weak vs strong
The same experience, written two ways. The strong version says what was done and what changed because of it. Only use numbers you can explain in an interview.
- Instead of: Did an internship in digital marketing.
Write: Cut cost per order from Tk 180 to Tk 130 by testing 30 ad creatives and narrowing audiences. - Instead of: Member of marketing club.
Write: Organised 5 career events with 600+ total attendees and 9 corporate speakers. - Instead of: Did a research project on a tea brand.
Write: Designed and ran a survey of 150 tea buyers in Dhaka and analysed it in Excel.
Skills to include
List the skills the job circular asks for that you really have, in its own words, grouped so a recruiter can scan them in seconds:
- Job skills: Digital marketing, Market research, Report writing, Presentation
- Software: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Meta Ads Manager
- Languages: Bengali (native), English (fluent)
Format tips
- Keep it to one page if you can; two at most.
- Write a 2 to 3 line summary naming the role you want, instead of a generic career objective.
- Turn every activity into a result: what you did, and what came of it.
- Change the summary and skills for each job; do not send the same CV everywhere.
- Use a formal email address made from your name.
